LedgerSMB is an open source ERP and accounting application for small and mid-size businesses, combining double-entry general ledger accounting with sales, purchasing, inventory, fixed assets, cash management, time tracking and budgeting in a single application. It handles transactions, invoices and payments in multiple currencies, and outputs documents in PDF, HTML, CSV and Office formats, with the ability to mail documents such as invoices from within the application.
Built-in modules include General Ledger and Journal Entry, Sales, Purchasing, Multiple Currencies, Contact Management, Cash Management, Time Tracking, Fixed Assets, Inventory Management and Light Manufacturing, Reporting and Budgeting. Additional functionality can be added through add-ons, and the open architecture supports integration with other business applications. The interface is translatable, with support for 45 languages and per-user language selection.
LedgerSMB is aimed at small and mid-size businesses across industries including services, retail, trade, rental and financial services, with more complex features hidden until configured. It is open source with no vendor lock-in; the current stable version is 1.13, and the project provides at least 24 months of community support for each 1.x release series.
