Kst is a data viewing, plotting and analysis application for large datasets and live streaming data. It provides built-in analysis functions and a plugin architecture for extending data source and operation support, with Python scripting through pyKst. It is licensed under the GPL and runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OSX.

Features include robust plotting of live streaming data, keyboard and mouse plot manipulation, histograms, equations, power spectra, color and contour mapping for three-dimensional data, matrix and image support, filtering and curve fitting, a command-line interface, non-modal dialogs, multiple tabs, annotation objects, and export to bitmap or vector formats. Data formats include ASCII, Dirfile/Getdata, netCDF, CFitsIO, QImage-compatible image types and Matlab's .mat format. Plugins can add new file types and operations, including fit and filter plugins. pyKst supports session setup and control, with numpy arrays transferred into and out of Kst; it has been tested on Linux.
