JITX

JITX is a code-based platform for designing circuit boards, replacing manual drafting with Python design code. Engineers express requirements, stackups, signal-integrity targets, and manufacturing rules in Python, which an approved AI edits. JITX then generates schematics, board structures, routing, fencing, and pin assignments. The platform runs locally on the customer's infrastructure, keeping requirements, stackup rules, fab constraints, and in-house knowledge in local design files.

Key capabilities include design primitives, routing solvers, schematic generation, pin assignment, fencing, and stabilization. JITX interfaces with HFSS, setting up ports, sweeps, boundaries, and metrics from requirements and feeding simulation results back into subsequent code edits. It can also dispatch evaluations to a team's own rule checker, with workflows extending to SPICE, power, and thermal domains. Integrations include PLM, KiCad, Altium, and Mentor Graphics or Siemens Expedition.

JITX is aimed at hardware and electronics teams working on high-frequency and complex board designs. The free and open-source edition, licensed under CERN OHL-Permissive v2, supports designs only and is incompatible with proprietary or copyleft/GPL designs. The Enterprise edition is locally hosted, supports proprietary designs by default, and offers program and enterprise pricing, consulting, and custom development options. Both editions include unlimited design complexity, part optimization databases, air-gapped installation, and dedicated training and support.
