Sync

End-to-end encrypted cloud storage for individuals and teams

Visit Sync

Sync is a cloud storage and file collaboration service founded in 2011 and based in Toronto, Canada. Files are protected with end-to-end encryption, which the company states means even Sync cannot read them. Users can sync files across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and web browsers, share folders with internal and external collaborators, request files, comment on shared links, and roll files back.

Features include Sync CloudFiles for files-on-demand, Sync Vault for cloud-only archiving, real-time backup with file history and recovery, granular permissions, remote share wipe, activity logs, and an admin console with role-based access controls and 2FA enforcement. Integrations cover Windows File Explorer, Mac Finder, mobile apps, and Microsoft Office 365.

Sync is offered for individuals and teams, with team plans sold per user with a three-user minimum and an Enterprise edition for organizations with 100 or more users. A free plan provides 5 GB of storage, and a 30-day free trial is available.
