Expanse

Expanse delivers compute certainty

Visit Expanse

Expanse is a predictive infrastructure platform that addresses the problem of resource guesswork in compute clusters. Before a job runs, engineers must estimate GPU, memory, and runtime requirements, often leading to overprovisioning, wasted capacity, or job failures. Expanse replaces these estimates with evidence-based predictions, helping clusters complete more work on existing hardware without changing how jobs are submitted.

The platform offers two main features. Expanse Analyse predicts GPU allocation, memory usage, runtime, and completion probability before a job executes, presenting each prediction as a confidence distribution. Expanse Diagnose performs root-cause analysis on failed jobs by examining code, logs, and metrics, and generates a prompt for coding agents grounded in the evidence. Expanse integrates with SLURM, Kubernetes, and Nomad, and can be deployed on-premises, in cloud accounts, or in hybrid environments. It is self-hosted within the user’s infrastructure, with no workload data leaving the cluster.

Expanse is designed for teams that operate their own clusters, including HPC, AI training, and inference serving environments. It is installed via an Ansible playbook and Helm chart. The platform is seat-based or usage-based; exact pricing is not disclosed on the website.
