KDevelop

A cross-platform IDE for C, C++, Python, QML/JavaScript and PHP

Visit KDevelop

KDevelop is a free, cross-platform integrated development environment developed under the KDE umbrella, available for Linux, Windows and macOS. It is designed for C and C++ projects and other supported languages, providing code completion, project support and documentation integration to keep reference material close to the code being edited. The IDE parses projects on the fly to support code comprehension and can open multiple projects in a single session, with configurable build order for interconnected frameworks and libraries.

KDevelop supports C/C++, Objective-C, QML/JavaScript, Python and PHP through an extensible plugin framework, with optional plugins for Python, PHP, Mercurial, Clang-Tidy, Heaptrack and Perforce. It integrates with CMake, QMake and custom Makefiles, and invokes build tools such as make and ninja. Version control GUIs are available for Git, Bazaar, Subversion, CVS, Mercurial and Perforce. Other capabilities include semantic and rainbow highlighting, context-sensitive completion, project-wide search, unit test integration, a filterable Problems toolview, graphical debugging for C/C++ and Python, code formatters, documentation providers for QtHelp, Man pages and CMake help, and Vim-compatible input mode. KDevelop is free software, developed mostly by volunteers in their spare time.
