Cloudcraft is a diagramming tool that turns data collected by Datadog into live architecture diagrams of cloud infrastructure, covering AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and on-premises VMware vSphere environments. It addresses the problem of keeping architecture documentation current as infrastructure changes, while also supporting troubleshooting, cost management, and security review in a single view.

The diagram overlays alerts, error logs, Kubernetes issues, security findings, and cost heatmaps directly onto resources, with the ability to click into resources, services, and databases to view related traces and logs. Multi-account and multi-region infrastructure, including cross-account connections, appears on one diagram. Fleet Automation lets users spot agent blind spots and update host configurations from the diagram. Cloudcraft Live auto-generates and syncs AWS and Azure environments using read-only cross-account roles. Diagrams, monitors, logs, cloud cost, and security overlays are available with any Datadog subscription, with unlimited users and diagrams. Pro and Enterprise editions add role-based access controls, and Enterprise supports SAML 2.0 single sign-on with optional two-factor authentication.
