CiviCRM
Build, engage, and organize your constituents
CiviCRM is open source, web-based constituent relationship management software for nonprofit, NGO and advocacy organizations, released under the GNU AGPL v3. It centralizes contact records alongside fundraising, events, memberships and communications, so organizations can manage constituent data in one system rather than across separate tools. It integrates with CMS platforms including WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and Backdrop, and can be self-hosted or run through partner hosting.
Core components include Contact Management, Contributions (contribution pages), Event Management, Membership Management (CiviMember), Bulk Messaging (CiviMail), Case Management (CiviCase), detailed reporting, and peer-to-peer fundraising tools. The software is configurable and customizable, and security releases are published on a set schedule for supported versions, with advisories distributed by email and RSS.
CiviCRM is aimed at organizations of varying size and technical capacity. Four implementation paths are offered: do it yourself (requiring technical skill), CiviCRM Spark (a low monthly subscription with no technical skill required, including a CiviAcademy subscription), cloud hosting (pricing varies by offering), and working with a partner for complex needs. The software itself is freely available under its open source license; organizations can also join as members or partners.
