ChatSecure
Free and open source encrypted chat for iOS.
ChatSecure is a free and open source encrypted messaging app for iPhone that uses OMEMO and OTR encryption over XMPP. It lets users connect an existing Google account, create a new account on a public XMPP server (including via Tor), or connect to their own server. The app interoperates with other clients that support OMEMO or OTR and XMPP, such as Conversations on Android and CoyIM on desktop.
Its features include XMPP with TLS certificate pinning, OTR for verifiable end-to-end encryption and forward secrecy, OMEMO as a mobile-friendly alternative to OTR, Tor support for bypassing restrictive firewalls, and SQLCipher for locally encrypting conversation logs. The source code is available on GitHub under GPLv3+. ChatSecure is available on the Apple App Store for free; the Android version is no longer available.
