ChatMD is a free and open-source tool that turns a Markdown file into a chatbot. It is hosted on the Forge des communs numériques éducatifs, a platform made available by the Direction du numérique pour l'éducation of the French Ministry of National Education for teachers, staff, communities, associations and partners to create, collaborate on and share educational digital commons.
The tool provides a chat interface where users can write messages and send them to the bot generated from their Markdown content. The hosting platform offers sign-in through apps.education.fr accounts for ministry staff, the Éducation-Recherche federation for higher education and research, and external accounts for partners and guests. Access to the forge's resources does not require an account.
