NanoClaw

Your personal AI agent. Secure. Lightweight. Yours.

Visit NanoClaw

NanoClaw is a lightweight, open-source personal AI agent that runs on your own machine. It solves the problem of using AI assistants that operate on external servers and hold your credentials, by running every active session inside an isolated Docker container on macOS, Linux, or Windows through WSL2. By default, outbound requests route through OneCLI's Agent Vault, which injects credentials at request time so agents never hold raw API keys.

The software uses a single Node.js host process with one Docker container per active session, connected by SQLite message queues. It supports multi-channel messaging including WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Signal, Microsoft Teams, iMessage, Matrix, and email via Resend. Channels and providers are installed as skills, so your fork carries only the integrations you choose. Claude is the default provider; Codex, OpenCode, and Ollama can be configured per agent group. Scheduled tasks, per-agent workspaces with separate instructions and memory, and flexible isolation modes let you connect each channel to its own agent or share one across many channels.

NanoClaw is built for individual users who want a personal AI assistant they own and control. It is free and open source under the MIT license. The installer walks you from a fresh machine to an agent you can message, and no coding is required for setup, though comfort with a terminal and git clone is expected. Your agent provider may charge for model usage, and local Ollama models can run without a hosted-model bill.
