Traccar

Open source GPS tracking software for devices and locations.

Visit Traccar

Traccar is a free and open source GPS tracking system that receives, processes and stores position data from GPS devices. It provides a web interface and mobile apps for viewing locations, events and reports, and can be self-hosted on Windows, Linux or other platforms, or run through managed hosting with professional support.

The product includes Traccar Server, a web interface, the Traccar Manager mobile app for accessing location data, events and reports, and the Traccar Client mobile app for reporting a phone's location. The Traccar Client SDK supports building custom background tracking apps for Android and iOS, while the Traccar API allows integration with third-party applications. Supported capabilities include live tracking on road maps or satellite imagery, push and email alerts for geofence crossings, harsh driving, fuel drops and maintenance events, and reports with trips, charts, summaries and location history exportable to Excel. A wide range of GPS trackers and protocols from multiple vendors is supported, and a phone can be used as a GPS tracker.

Traccar is suited to individuals and organizations that need GPS tracking, including those running a GPS tracking business. The software itself is free and open source, with paid managed services available: a tracking account for a single user on a shared server, and a dedicated tracking server with custom branding and configuration, both offered as monthly subscriptions.
