Tideways is an application performance monitoring, profiling, and error tracking tool built for PHP applications. It collects performance data from production in real time, helping teams identify slow code, diagnose errors and exceptions, and understand performance from the customer's point of view. Installation requires no code changes, and popular PHP frameworks and libraries are detected automatically.
The platform combines Monitoring & Alerting, Profiling, and Error + Exception Tracking. Profiling provides code-level insights through traces, flamegraphs, and callgraphs, with tracepoints and manual trace triggering via a Chrome Extension or CLI. Monitoring covers user and API interactions, background workers, and cronjobs, with alerting and integrations for Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, OpsGenie, Splunk On-Call, and Webhooks. Slow SQL queries are logged in application context with stack traces. Insights cover PHP-specific concerns such as autoloading and garbage collection.
