Sweet Home 3D is a free interior design application for drawing house plans, arranging furniture, and viewing the results in 2D and 3D. It supports drawing straight, round, or sloping walls with precise dimensions, inserting doors and windows that automatically cut wall openings, and annotating plans with room areas, dimension lines, text, arrows, and a compass rose.
The application includes a searchable, extensible furniture catalog organized by categories, with options to change color, texture, size, thickness, location, and orientation of furniture, walls, floors, and ceilings. It renders photorealistic images and videos with customizable lighting and sunlight effects based on time of day and geographic location. Blueprints, 3D models, and textures can be imported, while PDFs, bitmap or vector images, videos, and 3D files can be exported. Features can be extended through Java plug-ins or by developing a derived version based on its Model View Controller architecture, and the interface is available in 29 languages.
Sweet Home 3D is available as a desktop and mobile download for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, or as an online version in any browser supporting WebGL.
