Straddle

Straddle is an open-banking payments platform that combines customer onboarding, identity verification, bank account connection, and account-to-account payment collection through a single API. It addresses the need to consolidate fragmented payment and fraud tooling, supporting money movement across ACH, RTP, and upcoming FedNow rails, with balance confirmation attached to payment requests and no interchange fees.

Its product modules include Pay by Bank, Identity, Embed, and Watchtower. Straddle Bridge connects applications to US bank accounts or accepts tokens from third-party data aggregators. Identity verification covers document and selfie checks, liveness, and SSN validation, alongside AML sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and tokenized PII. Watchtower performs balance confirmation and risk checks, while real-time transaction scoring flags potentially fraudulent activity. Security measures include encryption, multi-factor authentication, access controls, and a secure SDLC.

Straddle is aimed at businesses embedding payments into SaaS, PayFac, and marketplace applications. Pricing is offered in three editions: Startup and Growth as monthly subscriptions, and Scale as a custom plan for enterprise customers and platform partners.
