A SQL tool that turns complex queries into diagrams and provides a graphical query builder

SQLeo Visual Query Builder is a desktop Java Swing application for constructing SQL queries through a graphical interface. It addresses the difficulty of reading and analyzing complex SQL by transforming queries from tools such as OBIEE, Microstrategy, Cognos, Hyperion and Pentaho into diagrams, and by allowing queries to be reversed from SQL syntax back into a graph. The application supports multiple simultaneous connections and works with virtually all JDBC drivers, including ODBC bridge, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Firebird, HSQLDB, H2, CsvJdbc and SQLite.

The query builder supports drag-and-drop joins, foreign keys and CSV-based definitions, along with inner, left/right/full outer and natural joins, group by, order by, subqueries and unions. A command editor provides SQL auto-completion, auto-generated JOIN syntax, PL/SQL support, SQL formatting, command history and DML generation, with SELECT results shown in a data grid. Additional modules include a data comparer and schema comparer based on pivot tables, a metadata explorer with search, data preview with filtering and sorting, and export to HTML, insert scripts, text, CSV or PivotTable.js HTML. The application runs on any platform with JRE 1.7 or later and can be used as a portable app.

SQLeo is aimed at developers and analysts working with SQL across multiple databases. It is open-source under GPLv2, and the Unlimited edition is available free of charge.
