Spam Reader is a free anti-spam add-on for Microsoft Outlook that scans incoming mail and moves detected spam to a dedicated folder for review. It uses a Bayesian algorithm based on statistical analysis, combined with allowlists and self-training, to detect spam. Filtering runs locally on the user's machine with no cloud processing. It supports IMAP, POP3, Exchange and Webmail accounts, and works with desktop versions of Outlook from 2010 through 2024, including Office 365.
