SheepShaver

An open source PowerPC Macintosh emulator

Visit SheepShaver

SheepShaver is a MacOS run-time environment originally written for BeOS and later ported to Linux and other Unix systems. It lets you run classic MacOS applications alongside your host operating system, typically in a window, with data exchange between the two. On PowerPC-based hosts applications run at native speed; on other processors a built-in PowerPC emulator is used. The software is released under the GNU General Public License, though a copy of MacOS and a PowerMac ROM image are still required to use it.
