Shazam
Identify the music playing around you and explore songs, lyrics, and artists.
Shazam is a mobile app that identifies music playing on a phone or in the surrounding environment. It creates a digital fingerprint of the audio and matches it against a database of millions of tracks, returning the track name and artist along with lyrics, video, artist biography, concert tickets and recommended tracks. The service also publishes discovery charts, including a Global Top 200 and city-level Top 50 charts.
The app is available on iOS and Android, with additional entry points including iOS Control Center, Pop Up Shazam on Android, Android notifications, Apple Watch and Android Wear, and a Chrome browser extension. Discovered songs can be added to Apple Music or Spotify playlists, with time-synced lyrics and music videos available through Apple Music or YouTube. ShazamKit is offered for developers. The app is free to download.
