Semaphore

Continuous integration and delivery platform with agent-assisted setup

Visit Semaphore

Semaphore is an open source CI/CD platform for building, testing and deploying software, available as a hosted service or self-hosted under the Apache 2.0 license. It addresses pipeline setup and maintenance: an AI coding agent can configure CI from a natural-language request, run checks in a production-identical sandbox before a push, and keep pipelines fast by identifying slow steps and flaky tests.

Core capabilities include the Workflow Builder, which models pipelines visually and generates YAML configuration as code; Build Optimization with caching, triggers and job prioritization; Artifacts storage; Monorepos support for triggering only relevant build parts; and Self-Hosted Agents for running workflows on your own infrastructure. Security features include SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001:2022 certification, SAML SSO, role-based access control, audit logging, managed secrets, and isolated sandbox virtual machines for builds.

Semaphore is aimed at development teams of varying sizes, from small businesses to larger organizations. Pricing is usage-based, with compute charged per minute by machine type and no per-seat fees; each organization receives monthly free usage credits. Support and success services are sold as separate modular add-ons, with optional dedicated cache and Docker registry add-ons and annual billing discounts.
