Saltcorn is an open-source database application builder for creating workflow tools, portals, dashboards and internal apps on top of a structured relational data model. It addresses the problem of running processes across spreadsheets, legacy databases and disconnected SaaS tools by providing a single connected data foundation that teams can build around their actual workflows.
The platform includes a relational model, a drag-and-drop builder for views, pages and actions, and output channels covering web, mobile, PDF and email. It supports durable workflows and actions, an AI copilot that builds pages and workflows from a description, and AI agents. Saltcorn is MIT-licensed, self-hostable and runs without telemetry, with a visual workflow editor builder and loop-based AI copilot app builder available in the current release.
It is aimed at teams building operational tools, data and workflow apps, portals and interfaces, and legacy replacements such as MS Access or spreadsheet-to-app projects. Saltcorn is free to use with no license fee and is self-hosted, so there is no hosted plan or trial to select.
