Rowy provides a spreadsheet-style interface for managing data in a user's own Firebase/Firestore project on Google Cloud, combining a no-code CMS with backend cloud functions in the browser. It supports more than 30 field types, data import and export, and field-level access controls, auditing, validation, and default values, so teams can collaborate on a shared data source while developers extend functionality with code using any npm package or API.
Capabilities include Derivative fields for calculated values, Action fields for button-triggered tasks, Extensions for sending data to services such as SendGrid, Slack, and WhatsApp, and Webhooks for receiving data from sources such as Typeform and SendGrid. Backend templates cover use cases including Google Vision and GPT-3 for receipt text extraction, Figma image generation from database data, and Webflow forms to Firestore. Rowy is open source and can be self-hosted.
It is aimed at developers as well as non-technical team members working with data. Packaging includes a free Base tier for individuals and small teams with one project, unlimited cloud functions, and community support; a seat-based Pro tier with a one-month free trial adding unlimited projects, full-text search, and email support; and a Business edition with custom pricing, custom domains, data version control, and priority support.
