Retriever

Retriever is a device return service that helps companies recover laptops and monitors from employees, including remote and departing staff. It ships a padded return box with a prepaid label, packing materials and step-by-step instructions, then sends the employee email notifications and reminders while the requesting company receives tracking updates. Shipping covers US, Canadian and UK addresses, with certain exclusions.

Beyond returns, the service offers laptop warehousing and redeployment as well as certified data destruction and disposal aligned with NIST 800-88 and Department of Defense standards. The Enterprise edition adds a tracking dashboard through the Retriever portal, an API integration, unlimited users, free cell phone retrieval with laptop returns, and access to storage and deployment services.

Retriever is aimed at IT, HR and operations teams handling offboarding, equipment swaps and bulk recoveries. It is packaged as a Starter plan for occasional returns, billed per return with no minimums, and an Enterprise plan requiring a prepaid batch of returns with volume-based rates. There are no setup fees, subscriptions or contracts, and optional insurance is available on Starter.
