Pencil Project
An open-source GUI prototyping tool that's available for ALL platforms.
Pencil is a free and open-source GUI prototyping tool for creating mockups and diagrams on popular desktop platforms. It aims to make interface design accessible through an easy installation and a straightforward drawing workflow. The latest stable release, version 3.1.1, includes stability fixes and new features.
The application ships with built-in shape collections covering general-purpose shapes, flowchart elements, desktop and web UI shapes, and Android and iOS GUI stencils. Additional community-created collections can be installed via drag-and-drop. Pencil supports connectors for wiring shapes into diagrams, inter-page linking to define UI flows, and a clipart browser integrated with OpenClipart.org. Documents can be exported as PNG images, HTML web pages, OpenOffice/LibreOffice documents, Inkscape SVG, and Adobe PDF; inter-page links become HTML hyperlinks in web exports.
Pencil is intended for designers and developers creating application or website mockups. It is distributed as free and open-source software, with downloads available for multiple desktop platforms.
