OS3
US-built semi-humanoid robots and video-trained intelligence.
OS3 is a robotics company that builds HALE 1.0, a bimanual mobile robot designed and trained in-house. The platform is aimed at automating physical tasks in real-world environments, with hospitality laundry as its first application. OS3 operates these deployments directly, while also opening the platform to partners developing additional applications.
HALE 1.0 features 22 degrees of freedom and actuators built by OS3. The robot is trained using video pretraining and real-world task demonstrations, with new tasks requiring only a few hours of demonstration data. OS3 develops the robot architecture, control stack, model, and training loop internally. The company is based in San Francisco and backed by Y Combinator.
Hospitality deployments are available through OS3, with pricing starting at $2.50 per hour. For teams building their own applications, OS3 offers developer units that provide access to the same bimanual mobile platform used in the field. Developer units can be purchased outright or leased, with a refundable preorder deposit required. Additional terms may apply to these offerings.
