Openlayer

Every AI system in your company. In one place. Under control.

Visit Openlayer

Openlayer is an AI governance and observability platform for enterprises that need to discover, register, test, monitor, and govern AI systems across their organization. It addresses the problem of AI systems being deployed without formal testing, continuous monitoring, or enforceable policy, covering large language models, retrieval augmented generation pipelines, autonomous agents, traditional machine learning models, and multimodal systems, whether built internally or purchased from a vendor.

The platform is organized into seven layers: Discovery, Registration, Testing, Observability, Security & Guardrails, Compliance, and Cost Controls. Discovery provides an org-wide AI system inventory with shadow-AI detection and integrations with major agent development kits. Registration offers a central AI registry with custom intake forms, lifecycle management, model and dataset versioning, and risk assessment and tiering. Testing includes more than 175 out-of-the-box evaluations, regression testing, CI/CD testing, diagnostic tools, and custom metrics. Observability traces prompts, responses, and tool calls, monitoring quality, cost, latency, and drift on live traffic. Security & Guardrails provides real-time control, PII detection and redaction, policy enforcement and gateway routing, custom guardrails, and prompt-injection and jailbreak defense. Compliance maps to frameworks including the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, and OSFI E-23, with control libraries, audit-ready evidence, and reporting. Cost Controls tracks token spend by project, team, and user, with budget caps and usage dashboards. The platform connects through SDKs, a CLI, a REST API, Git, OpenTelemetry, Snowflake, and a network-level gateway.

Openlayer is built for enterprises, including regulated industries, that need to govern AI across engineering, security, legal, and compliance functions. The platform offers a free plan and a demo, with additional editions available.
