Network Time System is a client/server software for synchronizing system time across networks of any size. It supports NTP, SNTP, NMEA 0183 GPS and its own proprietary time protocol. The product includes a Time Server that hosts NTP and NTSv2, and a Windows Time Client for NTSv2 and NTP. It can be deployed via Group Policy, runs as a system service on Windows from Vista/2008 to 11/Server 2022, and allows custom time zones and offsets.
