mysms
Send and receive texts on your computer or tablet – just like on your Android phone
mysms is a family of apps that lets you send and receive SMS from a computer, tablet, or smartphone while using your existing phone number through an Android phone. It solves the problem of having to pick up your phone to text, syncing messages across devices so you can write from a keyboard wherever you are.
Available apps include Windows 8/10, Mac, Chrome, web, iPad, Android tablet, and Android phone, with call notifications forwarded to your computer and tablet. The Android app supports free messaging to other mysms users, multimedia, group messaging, widgets, and themes, plus mirror sync of your SMS inbox and call log between two phones. Messages are encrypted and stored in the cloud. A Premium tier adds archiving to Evernote, Dropbox, and Google Drive, forwarding messages to email, and exporting the SMS inbox to a .CSV file.
mysms is aimed at people who text frequently from a computer or tablet rather than a phone, including those who want to keep using their own number. The core apps are free to download, with Premium offered as an upgrade for additional archiving and export features.
