Mergent
Infrastructure for background jobs, task queues and cron jobs
Mergent was a developer infrastructure service for running background jobs, task queues, and cron jobs, designed to keep scheduled and queued workloads running without interruption. The service was acquired by Resend and wound down on July 28, 2025; existing users were directed to migrate email scheduling use cases to Resend and other background job and queueing use cases to Inngest.
Mergent offered task rate limits (beta), allowing maximum dispatch rates of 1 to 500 tasks per second or minute to applications, and supported up to 100 billion invocations per month for larger customers. Pricing was usage-based with automatic discounts as usage increased. The platform was aimed at developers and teams running critical workflows, with support available at support@mergent.co for migration questions.
