Locus is payment infrastructure for AI agents, providing a single integration through which agents can call paid tools while their owners control spending. It meters each tool call, applies a platform's markup, and maintains a ledger across a catalog of services, consolidating multiple provider contracts into one vendor relationship.
The platform includes per-customer balances within a workspace credit pool, scoped API keys for server, browser, agent, and sandbox use, and Agent Connections that enforce allowed tools, per-call maximums, and run budgets before a provider is reached. Custom HTTP APIs with their own credentials and pricing can be added alongside the catalog. Activity traces charges by customer, agent, provider, and endpoint, with signed, sequenced webhooks for balance events. Integration is available through a TypeScript SDK, hosted MCP, and CLI, with a browser balance widget and sandbox keys for testing.
Locus Pro is aimed at platforms embedding paid tools for their customers' agents as well as individuals running their own agents. Plans include a free tier with limited throughput and no customer billing, a Plus tier with included monthly usage credits, and Enterprise and Enterprise Plus tiers adding team access, analytics, customer billing, custom endpoints, and higher throughput, with a custom agreement available beyond those editions. Pay With Locus offers a separate pay-per-use option funded by USDC on Base with no subscription.
