Borrow and read ebooks and audiobooks from your library

Visit Libby

Libby is a library reading app from OverDrive that lets users borrow ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines from their local library using a library card. It supports online reading and listening as well as offline access, with titles browsable through catalog guides, subjects, featured titles, and curated lists.

Reading tools include adjustable font size, book layout, and lighting, plus bookmarks, notes, highlights, and a dedicated article mode for magazines. The audiobook player offers cover-swipe skipping, playback speed up to 3x, and a sleep timer. Libby works on iPhone and iPad, Google Play devices, Amazon Fire tablets, laptops and desktops via Libbyapp.com, and Kobo e-readers. Audiobooks can be played in the car through Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Android Automotive, or Bluetooth, and library books can be sent to Kindle for U.S. libraries. Hold notifications and a to-be-read tag list are also available.

Libby is intended for individual readers of all ages who use a public library. Access is tied to a library card, and the app is provided free of charge.
