Visit JavaFX (OpenJFX)

JavaFX, also known as OpenJFX, is an open source client application platform built on Java for desktop, mobile and embedded systems. It is developed collaboratively by individuals and companies to provide a toolkit for building rich client applications. The project is free software licensed under the GPL with the class path exception, the same licensing model as OpenJDK.

The platform provides a platform-specific SDK, jmods, and artifacts in Maven Central for distribution. It includes Scene Builder for designing user interfaces that can be used directly in JavaFX applications, and TestFX for writing assertions that simulate user interactions and verify scene-graph node states. Applications can target desktop, mobile and embedded systems, with libraries and tools covering the application life cycle. The project also maintains reference documentation, API documentation, an FXML introduction, a CSS reference guide, and release notes.

JavaFX is intended for developers building rich client applications in Java across desktop, mobile and embedded targets. It is distributed as free software under the GPL with the class path exception, with no paid editions, trials, or seat-based or usage-based plans indicated.
