info-beamer is a digital signage platform for the Raspberry Pi, operated by inlua GmbH & Co. KG. It addresses the need to run and manage displays remotely: a hosted cloud service handles deployment, configuration and content distribution, while the standalone info-beamer pi player program supports self-managed setups. Devices are controlled through a web dashboard or API, with content signed and transfers encrypted.
The player uses hardware-accelerated H.264/HEVC decoding and OpenGL ES 2.0 rendering, supporting dual display output and 4K video on Pi4 and Pi5. Visualizations are customizable with Lua scripting and can be controlled over TCP/UDP; the platform also exposes a Hosted REST API, OAuth2 integration and a permissions system, and supports video walls and synchronized playback. It runs on Raspberry Pi OS with an optimized operating system that performs self-checks and remote updates.
info-beamer pi is available as a free private-use version and a commercial version for licensing outside the home; the hosted service is packaged per device per month, with programming optional. Support is available through community forums, with commercial support on request.
