Graphite

Graphite does three things: Kick ass. Chew bubblegum. Make it easy to store and graph data

Visit Graphite

Graphite is an open source, enterprise-ready monitoring tool for storing numeric time-series data and rendering graphs of that data on demand. It runs on inexpensive hardware or cloud infrastructure and is used to track the performance of websites, applications, business services, and networked servers. Graphite is not a collection agent; metrics are fed into it through a simple network protocol, and it provides a path for getting measurements into a time-series database.

The stack consists of three components: carbon, a high-performance service that listens for time-series data; whisper, a database library for long-term storage; and graphite-web, the user interface and API for rendering graphs and dashboards. The web platform can output raw images, CSV, XML, and JSON for embedding in other pages or dashboards. Graphite has a large ecosystem of data integrations and third-party tools, and its projects are hosted on GitHub under the Apache 2.0 license.

Graphite is aimed at teams that need to monitor production systems and infrastructure. It is available as open source software, with documentation, quickstart guides, and community support through StackExchange, IRC, and GitHub issues.
