Geneious

Bioinformatics Software for Sequence Data Analysis

Visit Geneious

Geneious is a bioinformatics software suite for molecular biology and sequence data analysis, designed to help researchers work with DNA and sequence data without requiring programming skills. It addresses the computational complexity and data management challenges of modern biological research, providing tools for sequence analysis, molecular cloning, antibody discovery, and data organization in a single platform.

Geneious Prime offers sequence analysis tools including assembly, alignment, phylogenetics, cloning, primer design, CRISPR guide design, variant analysis, and microsatellite analysis for Sanger and NGS data. It supports mapping and de novo assembly with algorithms such as MAFFT, Clustal Omega, RAxML, and PAUP*, along with NGS pre-processing, RNA-Seq expression analysis, and BLAST searching against NCBI databases. Geneious Biologics provides screening, analysis, and visualization for antibody-like molecules using NGS, Single Cell, and Sanger datasets. The software includes Geneious Cloud for secure collaboration and data backup, automated workflows, a command line interface, and a plugin API for custom algorithms and integrations. File format support includes GenBank, SnapGene, Excel, and FASTQ.

Geneious is intended for scientists, researchers, and organizations working with molecular sequence data, including universities, research institutes, and businesses. It is delivered as a desktop application with cloud-based collaboration and storage, hosted on Amazon Web Services with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification. A free trial is available, and Geneious Academy provides free online courses and tutorials. A free Antibody Annotator tool is also offered for annotating IgG-like molecules.
