Team members appear as avatars in a shared 2D space, can see who is free, focused or in a meeting, and start proximity-based conversations without scheduling or meeting links.
The workspace includes meetings with Google Calendar scheduling, a dedicated meeting view, multi-screen sharing, meeting recording, AI notes and transcriptions, and meeting music. Chat supports unlimited messages across channels, DMs and threads, with private and public channels. Offices can be built from templates and customized in Gather Studio with over 400 objects, plus Simplified View, Mini Mode, availability settings and dark/light color modes.
