Originally created in 1999 as DFX Audio Enhancer (later FxSound Enhancer), FxSound was made free in 2022 and open-source in 2023. It is now supported entirely by user contributions. The software processes system-wide audio on Windows PCs only, with no Mac, Linux, Android, or iOS versions currently available.
