Feep! search
A web search engine for programmers
Feep! search is an independent web search engine focused on programming resources. It maintains its own full-text index, currently totalling a bit over 31 million pages, built with data-processing scripts written mainly in Node.js and shell. Ranking and full-text search are powered by ElasticSearch, and the entire system runs on an HP Microserver in the author's living room. The project is run by Wolfgang Faust, a professional software developer, and is currently in alpha with result quality described as variable because ranking is not yet well tuned.
