Documize

Knowledge management that runs entirely on your own infrastructure. Docs, wikis, templates

Visit Documize

Documize is a self-hosted knowledge management platform delivered as a single binary with no runtime dependencies. It solves the problem of scattered organizational knowledge by providing a centralized documentation and wiki system that runs entirely on the user's own infrastructure, behind their firewall. The software supports Windows, macOS, Linux, and FreeBSD, and connects to PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Percona, or MariaDB databases.

The platform organizes content through spaces, labels, and structured documents, and enables composable content creation using reusable blocks and templates. It includes a built-in content lifecycle with draft, review, approve, and publish stages, along with change control and approval tracking. Granular permissions are applied at the space, document, and action level. Analytics show what content is read and where knowledge gaps exist. Authentication integrates with LDAP, Active Directory, Keycloak, and CAS. The software also provides activity streams, audit logs, and feedback collection features.

Documize is designed for teams and organizations that need to keep knowledge on their own servers for security, compliance, or operational reasons. It is offered as an annual subscription with two editions: Essential for up to 100 users and Enterprise for unlimited users. A free plan is available for up to five users with no credit card required. Both paid editions include all features, with the Enterprise plan adding source escrow and continuity arrangements upon request.
