Deepnote is a cloud-based collaborative notebook platform for data analytics and data science, combining Python and SQL work with data apps, dashboards, pipelines, and model training and serving. It aims to keep exploration, production workflows, and team collaboration in a single workspace, connected to existing data sources rather than requiring separate tools for each stage.
Core capabilities include notebooks with code, SQL, chart, and text blocks; interactive apps and dashboards; scheduled runs and background execution; ETL/ELT pipelines; a data catalog; alerts; a semantic layer with modules, LookML, and dbt; model training, serving, and monitoring; and GPU compute. Deepnote AI provides code completion, generation, editing, and explanation, along with an Agent Workspace for building and running agents. Integrations cover 100+ sources including PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Trino, Amazon S3, Google Drive, GitHub, and Slack, with Spark and Snowpark support for large-scale data. Security features include RBAC, SSO, directory sync, audit logs, and HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance.
Deepnote is aimed at data analysts, data scientists, data teams, and organizations building agent-based workflows. It offers a free plan with limits on editors, projects, AI usage, and machine resources; a Team edition with a 14-day trial, unlimited projects and viewers, premium integrations, and included AI and compute credits; and an Enterprise edition with custom contracts, unlimited AI, permission groups, SSO, audit logs, and single-tenancy options. Compute is available on a pay-as-you-go basis alongside included monthly allowances.
