Debitoor

Debitoor is a cloud-based invoicing and accounting tool for freelancers and small business owners, covering the workflow from creating and sending invoices to tracking payments and organising expenses. It also supports automatic bank reconciliation, matching invoices and expenses against bank transactions. The service is now SumUp Invoices, and new sign-ups to Debitoor are no longer possible.

Core capabilities include invoice creation and sending, expense management, delivery notes and quotes, invoice design, bank integration, and VAT, profit and loss, and balance sheet reports. Data is encrypted in transit with 256-bit SSL certificates, stored on mirrored databases with scheduled off-site backups, and hosted on Amazon Web Services servers in Dublin, Ireland. Passwords are hashed with salts rather than stored in plain text.

Debitoor is aimed at freelancers and small business owners. It was offered in four subscription tiers with a seven-day trial of the paid versions, cancellable at any time. Plans varied by annual invoice volume, number of users, and access to delivery notes and quotes, invoice design, bank integration, and financial reports; the top tier allowed unlimited invoices and three users.
