Databunker

Secure vault and tokenization for personal data

Visit Databunker

Databunker is a compliance platform that protects personal data and sensitive files by replacing PII columns in an application database with random tokens, while encrypted records are held in a separate vault. It addresses the problem of plaintext personal data scattered across databases, logs, and storage buckets, and includes cloud and database compliance scanning plus a portal for handling data subject requests.

The platform comprises three products: Databunker Pro, a PII vault and tokenization engine with fuzzy search, record versioning, encryption key rotation, multi-tenancy, and access logging; Databunker Radar, which runs compliance checks across AWS, Azure, GCP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server with audit-ready reports; and Databunker DPO, a portal for data subject requests, consent, and privacy workflows. It can be self-hosted (Docker Compose, Kubernetes, OpenShift) or run in the cloud, and integrates with AI tools such as Claude and Cursor for locating PII fields.

Databunker targets early-stage companies through enterprises. It offers a free, MIT-licensed self-hosted OSS edition with core vault features, while advanced capabilities require the commercial Pro edition. Paid plans are usage-based, billed hourly per vault with record limits, across Startup, Business, and custom Enterprise tiers; every plan includes all three products.
