The server is self-maintained and funded out of pocket, with a warning that abuse will result in access being permanently removed. Most content is contained within a section called the Somniel, which visitors are invited to browse.
Signups are disabled; account requests are handled by email, with users asked to provide a desired username, email address, and reason for signing up. The instance exposes an API and is available in a wide range of interface languages.
