COMSOL Multiphysics

COMSOL Multiphysics is a general-purpose simulation platform for building physics-based models and simulation applications across engineering, manufacturing, and scientific research. It addresses the need to simulate real-world designs, devices, and processes where multiple physical phenomena interact, providing a consistent modeling workflow regardless of the physics being modeled.

The platform includes the Model Builder for creating, solving, and visualizing models, the Application Builder for building simulation apps, and the Model Manager for managing models and apps. Add-on modules cover electromagnetics, structural mechanics, acoustics, fluid flow, heat transfer, and chemical engineering, along with multipurpose products such as the Optimization Module and Uncertainty Quantification Module. Interfacing products include LiveLink for MATLAB, Simulink, Excel, and various CAD systems, as well as CAD Import and ECAD Import. Advanced capabilities include GPU acceleration, surrogate models, and HPC and cloud deployment. Apps can be distributed as standalone executables through COMSOL Compiler or managed and run via web browser or thin client through COMSOL Server.
