Checkly is a monitoring platform for developers and site reliability teams that combines synthetic testing, uptime monitoring, alerting, and status pages in a code-first workflow. Monitors can be written in JavaScript or TypeScript and managed through the Checkly CLI, Terraform, or Pulumi, then deployed to global locations from a single command. The platform also supports AI agents and coding assistants such as Claude Code for creating and managing checks.
Core capabilities include URL, TCP, ICMP, DNS, heartbeat, gRPC, SSL, and traceroute monitors, with check intervals from one second to 24 hours across 22+ global locations. It supports Playwright-based browser checks, assertions on status codes and response times, retry logic, alert channels including Slack and PagerDuty, status pages, traces, dashboards, and reporting. Monitors can be tested and deployed in CI/CD pipelines, with environment variables and private locations available.
