Asteroid
The integration layer for healthcare's hardest systems
Asteroid is a HIPAA-compliant platform for connecting to healthcare systems that lack usable APIs, including EHRs, payer portals, registries, and desktop applications. Agents log in like staff to pull, update, and submit data across browser and desktop environments, with workflows deployable as APIs.
The Astro builder opens a browser or desktop session, explores trajectories under human supervision, writes the workflow, and deploys it as an API, with model selection across Claude, GPT, Gemini, and others. It is also available from Claude Code, Cursor, and other coding agents through an MCP server. Environments include browser, desktop, vaults, and VPNs. Live View records every run for clinician oversight. Integrations include Slack, MCP, and webhooks, alongside more than 100 payer portals, EHRs, and registries. Ready-made workflows cover EHR extraction and write-back, scheduling, referral intake, prior authorization, member enrollment, credentialing and verification, provider enrollment, eligibility and benefits, claims and denials, and Medicare enrollment.
Asteroid is aimed at healthcare and operations teams working with systems that do not offer usable APIs. The platform offers a free start option and a demo, with a pricing page available; specific plan structures are not detailed here.
