AmuseWiki
Publish and archive texts with a library-oriented wiki engine.
AmuseWiki is a free, open-source wiki engine designed as a library-oriented platform for managing and editing large amounts of text, such as books and articles. It addresses the need for a robust authoring, archiving, and publishing system that prioritizes high-quality output and a superior reading experience, moving beyond the typical wiki's focus on quick, collaborative editing.
Its core capabilities include producing high-quality EPUB and PDF files using LaTeX typesetting, and it operates with a flat-file and Git backend for reliable long-term archiving. The platform features a bookbuilder tool and an OPDS server for delivering texts directly to mobile reading apps. It supports PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, or SQLite databases and is localized for over twenty languages, including English, German, Japanese, and Russian.
AmuseWiki is intended for individuals or organizations that need to manage substantial text collections, such as authors, publishers, or libraries. It can be configured as a read-only site, a moderated wiki, a fully open wiki, or a private site. As 100% free software, it is available for download from GitHub, and Debian/Ubuntu packages are provided for easier installation.
