WinMerge
An open source tool for Windows that compares and merges files and folders.
WinMerge is an open source differencing and merging tool for Windows that compares folders and files and presents differences in a visual text format. It is used to determine what has changed between project versions and to merge changes between them, either as a standalone application or as an external differencing and merging tool.
The tool includes file and folder comparison with 3-way support, visual differencing and merging, an editor with syntax highlighting and line numbers, difference and location panes, moved-line detection, regular expression filters, image comparison with block highlighting and overlay, and table comparison for CSV and TSV files. It also creates patch files in normal, context and unified formats, resolves conflict files, and offers shell integration, archive support through 7-Zip, plugin support, and a localizable interface. It handles Windows, Unix and Mac text formats and supports Unicode.
WinMerge runs on Microsoft Windows XP SP3 or newer. It is maintained and developed by volunteers as an open source project and is translated into a number of languages. The latest stable version is 2.16.58.2, recommended for most users, with an online manual and installed HTML Help documentation.
