Valispace

Where the world builds hardware

Visit Valispace

Valispace is a browser-based engineering collaboration platform covering the V model, from product specification and requirements gathering through system design, verification, and review. It keeps requirements connected to system design, tests, and reporting so teams can track whether they are building the intended product, see how design options affect the whole system, and run automatic verifications and background calculations instead of manually updating documents. Reviews and verifications happen alongside systems and requirements data with real-time collaboration. Valispace was acquired by Altium in February 2024, and its capabilities now feed into Requirements Portal within the Altium ecosystem.

Modules include Requirements, Components (Systems Design), V&V, and Analysis (Dynamic Documentation Wiki), plus automatic requirement verification, a calculation engine, full data history, CSV/Excel import and export, Python/Octave scripting, workflow automation, and integrations with Python, Matlab, MS Word, MS Excel, Satsearch, and Solidworks. An AI-powered ValiAssistant (Beta) is available, along with collaboration and review features, API access, SSO, and MFA. It runs as a cloud deployment, with on-premise hosting optional on the Enterprise plan.

Valispace is packaged as a seat-based plan with a minimum number of users, alongside an Enterprise edition adding optional on-prem deployment, staging server, and advanced update control; a free 30-day Altium Develop evaluation is offered. Requirements Portal, now part of Altium Develop, is billed annually with unlimited requirements and collaborators. An educational deployment for non-commercial student projects and teaching is available at a fixed annual price.
