USPS Informed Delivery

Informed Delivery is a free USPS service that provides grayscale, address-side preview images of incoming letter-sized mail and status updates for incoming and outgoing packages. Notifications arrive through a morning Daily Digest email and can also be viewed at any time on the online dashboard or the Informed Delivery Mobile app. The service is available to residential, business, and PO Box addresses in eligible ZIP Codes, with identity verification required during enrollment.

Core features include package tracking notifications by text or email, opt-in mail delivery notifications, USPS Electronic Signature Online for eligible Signature Required packages, and delivery instructions and redelivery scheduling. The dashboard supports tracking history, package nicknames, Click-N-Ship package tracking, and manual USPS Tracking number entry. The mobile app adds push notifications, biometric login, dark mode, landscape viewing, and switching between multiple addresses. Multifactor authentication is available for account security. Enrollment is free, and activation typically occurs within three business days.
